Measure thy life by loss instead of gain;
Not by the wine drunk, but the wine poured forth;
For love’s strength standeth in love’s sacrifice;
And whoso suffers most, hath most to give.

How fair and how pleasant art thou,
O love, for delights!

I've never heard of these berries before, but they are simply beautiful. I particularly appreciate the close-up you have of them, the texture that is visible is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, I also enjoy your poetry choices. The John Donne...beautiful.

I've seen these plants at the Morton arboretum and lusted after them. It reminds me of my gardening list of things to add here AND to visit the arboretum again soon. thanks
Thank you for this blog. It is beautiful. I love your quote here. What an encouragement to me today.
