Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey,
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away
...and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes, the rest sit around and pick blackberries. -Elizabeth Browning

Last year we heard our neighbor screaming outdoors. There had been a big spider on her riding lawn mower when she took it from her shed.
Somehow she had the sense to take a picture and had it printed for my husband to drop by the entomology department at the University.
It was a wolf spider! We'd never heard of such a thing. They said it is the biggest spider in our state.
Oh my! I'm getting the heebie jeebies just looking at that.
